. . . to Grandmother's House We Go . . . I took these pictures back in 2006, so they're just a bit dated. It's greener now, the kudzoo is a little more unruly, and the dogs are different, but it's the way we get to Grandma's house. I'll have to take an updated video or something, but this is definitely a trip down memory lane for all of us. My dad (Uncle Butch) told me that from the lake house driveway all the way to Grandma's house used to be trees and an old wagon route. You could see the ruts that the wagon wheels made - with trees growing between them! Dad and Grandpa cleared the way together before they built the house. Grandpa said the wagon ruts were from gypsey's, but who can say for sure . . . you know Grandpa! ;)

Grandpa Seay's Funeral
Pictures during and right after the funeral. It was a wonderful service. Everything was said and sung just right. Captions are underneath the pictures.
More Family Pics from Starr
Now, this one can be tricky. It's not just a jumble of odd close-ups. It's something I thought I'd try out, but it takes some work on your part (and trust me, it's worth it!). Just use your mouse to point at each little square, and it will get bigger and show you the whole picture. You don't have to click it or anything, just roll it around. I thought it was fun. These pictures were taken at the same time as the group photos, they're just a little more one-on-one. Have fun!
Family Group Photos by Starr
So, my mom (Aunt Starr) likes pictures almost as much as me, and she wanted to share these with everyone. I think they're so great! A lot of the family got together for group pictures at Grandma's house before everyone headed out. Everyone looks so nice! You can really tell that we're all related, huh?!?

Grandpa Seay's Funeral - Burial Service
After the funeral, everyone drove to the burial site. The Navy officers were ready and at attention when we arrived and gave a wonderful service and tribute to our amazing grandfather, including a 21 gun salute and a bugler playing tapps. It was an overcast day, not too bright or hot, so everyone was comfortable. The flowers and plants were beautiful. In all, it was an excellent service, and very fitting of our beloved Roy Calvin Seay, Sr., an incredible man, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, serviceman, and friend.
